Everyone wants to do their part when it comes to keeping the earth clean. Did you know that you can do your part by breaking a rule? The rule is that you should change your car's oil every 3,000 miles.
Vehicles that have been produced in the past two decades can typically go anywhere from 7,500 to 10,000 miles between oil changes under normal driving conditions. A typical driver can now wait twice as long to get an oil change which decreases the amount of waste oil that is generated every year.
We here at Ford Lincoln Fairfield want to remind drivers to do their part for the environment while not adding to wear and tear on your vehicle by enforcing the new rule of 7,500-10,00 miles for an oil change. This is good for the planet and could result in a dropping of the oil price which could make other petroleum products such as gasoline more affordable.
